Job description
Lloyd Motors Group has an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to join the IT Team to be based in Carlisle.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the following: -
- Managing overall IT day-to-day operations to improve infrastructure costs, services resilience, effectiveness, performance and ultimately end user satisfaction
- Strong experience of running IT services, ideally across multiple locations and delivering efficiencies and process improvements
- Ensure that system performance and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met
- Lead IT asset management to ensure assets full lifetime cycle value is achieved
- Manage strategic relationships and work alongside key IT product and service providers
- Assess the relative impact of IT industry trends to current and future enterprise infrastructure needs and projects
- Analyse and predict trends and develop long range plans designed to maintain cost effectiveness
- Develop and implement incident response and disaster recovery plans to address IT security incidents and disasters
- Manage and monitor security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software, to prevent unauthorized access and cyber-attacks
- Stay up to date with new IT security technologies, trends, and best practices and recommend changes or upgrades to the organization's IT security strategy
- Manage and supervise IT support staff, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure they are meeting the organization's goals
Hours of Work:
Monday- Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

About You:
- At least 5 years’ experience within IT Support, preferable at Management / Team Leader level
- Experience with networking topologies and the associated technologies for management of WAN, LAN and telephony services
- Familiarity of managing site level IT systems, equipment, nodes/devices remotely
- Knowledge and experience of cloud technologies specifically Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Understanding of multiple IT areas including 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Support. Be the escalation point for all technical issues, which are outside of 3rd party responsibilities
- Strong project and change management skills, with high levels of commercial insight and acumen
- Involvement in managing the IT budget, and negotiations with third party suppliers, to ensure cost effectiveness of technology services and solutions
- Hands-on technical experience to not only describe what good looks like but can also actively demonstrate this with implementations
- Strong technical background in IT security, as well as extensive experience in managing IT security and projects
- Full driving licence
