About the role :
Reporting to the Head of Finance, The IT Manager be responsible for overseeing the IT operations of our multiple industrial assets. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the IT strategy, managing the IT budget, and leading a team of IT professionals to provide IT support services to the organization.
In this role, you will :
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT department to ensure the functionality, availability, and security of IT systems, data, backups, and communications;
- Develop and manage annual IT budgets and procure IT equipment and professional services in accordance with Procurement and Contracting Policy;
- Implement and maintain application service level agreements with key stakeholders;
- Identify and manage IT risks;
- Ensure compliance with Glencore IT and organizational polices;
- Execute and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical applications;
- Manage IT Superintendents and oversee the setting of IT department objectives;
- Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and strategic goals;
- Manage IT department services and prepare management reports of department activities, tasks, and operational metrics;
- Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of the IT infrastructure across all industrial assets;
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management;
- Liaise with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and ensure IT solutions to support these needs;
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and provide recommendations for technology investments and improvements;
- Travel to sites in North America to visit operations on a regular basis.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- 10+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on infrastructure, applications development and support, and helpdesk support;
- Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications development and support, and helpdesk support;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal.
skills :
- Proven experience in managing a team of IT professionals;
- Experience working in a multi-site, multi-asset environment preferred.
Language : Bilingual (English and French).
