Title:
Business ArchitectThis is hire for a full-time position supporting a government agency in Northern Virginia. The Business Architect will work to align strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding business and IT initiatives. The architect is needed to structure enterprise governance, business process, and business information. The role will develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
Job Duties:
- Analyze current technologies used within the agency and optimize use
- Assess the business impact of technical choices
- Recommend best tools to accomplish mission requirements
- Working closely with IT professionals to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
- Provide details specifications for proposed solutions
- Provide hands on support and guidance to development teams
- Research current and emerging technologies and provide recommendations on adoption
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
- Experience in software engineering, design architecture, analyzing computer hardware and software solutions
- Understanding of best practices regarding system security measures and business analysis techniques
- Previous project management experience
- Proven work experience as a Business Architect or similar role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline (STEM)
- 8 years of relevant experience and a relevant certification can meet minimum education requirement. An additional relevant Master’s degree (or higher) is equivalent to two years of experience
- An additional relevant certification is equivalent to one year of experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of coding languages
- Knowledge of agency operating systems and databases
- Cloud certification (Azure or AWS)
- Experience in the use of Tableau, SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM field
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or its DoD equivalent or coursework
