PROGRAM
This opportunity is 12-month placement for bachelor degree students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree.

The Team:
Our IT Intern gets to work on a broad range of IT disciplines and has the chance to meet and interact with most areas of the business during their year with Mattel. Daily activities will include supporting both IT infrastructure and business systems, but time is also allocated for getting involved in a variety of regional IT projects where new skills can be learned and existing expertise can be applied. We try to ensure our interns receive a ‘taste of everything’ and welcome enthusiastic, friendly people to our team in Slough.
The Opportunity:
Work with Business Analyst/Project Manager on projects:
- Business requirements gathering
- Project communication
- Status updates
- Test scenarios/User Acceptance Testing
- Project administration, meeting requests
Regular office operation support:
- Updating documentation/Sharepoint content
- Ordering of IT spares as required
- Meeting room & connectivity tools support
Providing assistance to the Global IT Support Centre to resolve tickets that have been raised for:
- Applications Support
- Hardware Support
- Ad hoc requests
Key Performance Indicators:
- Meeting deadlines for projects
- The continued availability of UK IT Infrastructure
- User satisfaction with Application and Hardware support
- Regular communication of open and resolved issues to management

Competencies:
Technical:
Good working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10)
- Microsoft Office Suite – O365
- MS Teams & SharePoint (an advantage)
- Zoom (an advantage)
- PC hardware
- Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop)
- Apple Mac hardware would be advantageous (but not essential)
- Apple iPad/iPhone devices
Behavioural:
- Good interpersonal skills, good communicator
- Pro-active attitude
- Self-motivated
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Currently studying for a degree in IT
- Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies
