Job Title | IT Engineer Consultant (On-site in Los Angeles)
Job Description | At PHNTM, we are looking for a talented and experienced IT Engineer to join our team. This role will support the facility and teams working on cutting edge technology by providing infrastructure support and standardization for LAN networks, computers, domains, storage, intra and extranets and several security systems both for ongoing facility operations and also for custom projects.
Key Responsibilities |
Improve, document and manage secure LAN and subLANs. Train and support technical leaders as needed.
Work with Unreal Engine to develop immersive environments using Pixel Streaming technology.
Collaborate with the design and production team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Help vendor select, install and support infrastructure tools like VPN, KVM, remote desktop, SecureID/Authenticator, SSO
Live monitor systems and broadcast alerts via text and be first responder to issues
Recommend suppliers for power, cooling, fan, cabling, racks (stationary and portable), trunking, patching
Stay up-to-date with new trends and advancements in IT.
Control system complexity, document maintenance and support procedures, and build a network of cross-trained staff.
Qualifications |
Knowledgeable in the setup and remote management of Cisco Meraki network components (router, switch, load balancer, security firewall)
Understands Wi-Fi with multiple access points and mesh networks
Understands Windows Domain services and Active Directory, especially when used with HP Teradici or Matrox VPNs
Understands bandwidth provisioning, backplane load balancing
Can setup a secure VPN for remote workers
Strong communication skills and ability to share knowledge and work well in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position for up to 20 hours a week to be based in Los Angeles, CA and will need to work onsite in our DTLA studio as needed.
