Job Title: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER
Job Location: NACD Head Office, Hemel Hempstead, HP2
Salary: £35,000 per Annum

Based in Hemel Hempstead for over 20 years, NACD is an NSI Gold-approved company specialising in the manufacture, project design, sale, installation, commission, service and repair of door entry, access control and CCTV solutions, with clients across the Greater London region. Over the last few years our business has been growing rapidly due to new products and new clients, and we expect this expansion to continue through 2023 and beyond.
As NACD continues to expand, we are now on the hunt for our new Tech-Wizz to join our IT department. As the IT Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the IT department with a variety of duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Company Information Technology and Computer Systems.
You will be able to plan, organise, control and evaluate the IT and Electronic Data Operations in consultation with the Managing Director. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security of data, network access and backup systems.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely and communicate well with internal NACD departments.
The Information Technology Engineer responsibilities and duties will include:
- Raising and resolving helpdesk tickets; both incidents and requests
- To ensure that new starters are set up with their user accounts and IT equipment (i.e. laptops/ phones etc…)
- Windows 10 deployment
- Windows server support
- Desk setup/support
- Network support upgrades
- User account Setups (AD)
- VOIP User account administration (Horizon)
- Software installation and updates
- Office 365 support (first Line)
- MDM Administration
- AD Administration
- Printer Support
- Creating + Managing Distribution lists and Security Groups
- SharePoint Administration
- Laptop/ Desktop Break fix
Desired Skills and Experience
- 1 + years working in a help desk support role
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong technical skills and knowledge
- Good computer skills (a working knowledge of MS 365, Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of networking (IPV4, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls)
- Knowledge of Linux systems
- The ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with the internal team of NACD
- The ability to work well under pressure
