Summary of Responsibilities

Apply advanced IT skills to maintain, install, troubleshoot, and protect the various forms of information technology utilized by personnel and systems at Urenco USA (UUSA).

Education and Experience

Required

  • Education - High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience in an IT related function.
Preferred
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school
  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience in a IT related function.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in programming and analysis.
Job Details
  • The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM.
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
  • Travel Required: 15% of the time or less as required.
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required.
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Primary Functions
  • Perform basic programming and software design.
  • Install and test IT hardware necessary to maintain individual work stations, network capabilities, and integrated facility monitoring.
  • Provide IT support of individual computer issues for personnel working at UUSA.
  • Assist in the design, testing, debugging and maintenance of software programs used at UUSA.
  • Perform technical and quality reviews of a wide array of IT software and systems used at UUSA.
  • Support achievement of schedules and commitments in the implementation of software deployment.
  • Implement network performance monitoring during facility operation.
  • Maintain computer firewalls and security features for network programs.
  • Maintain backup and recovery procedures on a regular frequency.
  • Support management with information concerning software and internet use at the facility as requested.
  • Ensure facility software is maintained in accordance with licensing agreements.
  • Identify areas for performance and process improvements.
  • Identify problems and propose solutions for operational needs pertaining to IT at UUSA.
  • Perform tests on software as needed
  • Interface with IT vendor support to resolve issues at UUSA.
  • Includes other duties and responsibilities as directed.
  • Ability to work independently or on a project team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer programming.
  • Proficient in data processing.
  • Basic knowledge in network and intranet systems.
