In Canada, voestalpine Rotec North America Corp., based in Burlington, Ontario, is a leading manufacturer of tubular components and assemblies for the automotive occupant safety restraint market in North America. voestalpine Rotec North America also has operations in Monterrey, Mexico.
Scope:
The Assistant IT Administrator is the person responsible for a broad range of technical and systems support functions for hardware and software solutions.
Responsible for the efficient support of corporate servers, desktop computers and peripheral devices.
Ongoing interaction and communication with Group IT, adherence to voestalpine group IT policies and procedures
Responsibilities:
· Responsible to participate in the effective operations and strategic vision of the
company- user monitoring of company policy.
· Provide technical support involving installation, maintenance, monitoring and
tuning of system hardware, software, and databases.
· Perform technical administration on the computers systems, including security
functions.
· Provide training in various software applications to end-users.
· Essential for change control management and system documentations.
· Responds to system and user problems via the helpdesk by investigating problems
and taking corrective action.
· Installs, configures, modifies, and tests computer hardware such as workstations,
printers and other peripherals; installs and test software according to established
procedures.
· Performs preventative maintenance of computer hardware systems and assists in
server maintenance.
· Supports a variety of core services and applications such as Microsoft Office 365,
SharePoint, Dynamics NAV, and Solid works.
Qualifications:
· Post-Secondary degree or diploma from a recognized institution, and/or relevant
experience and certifications in Information Technology.
· Proficient in troubleshooting.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
· Experience and understanding Active directory.
· Detail oriented with the ability to approach problems logically and prioritize
responsibilities with minimal guidance.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
· Support oriented with the ability to provide clear and accurate instructions to users in a variety of situations.
· Knowledge of Basic Windows CMD commands.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
