IT Administrator
Salary within the range of £24,276 to £25,923 per annum
37 hours 52 weeks per year (some evening/weekend work may be required on an as and when basis)
We require an IT Administrator to work at our Ipswich Campus. The role will be responsible for deployment, including software, hardware, operating systems and updates, of PCs, laptops, and other end user devices used throughout the College sites.
The post holder will therefore be the technical lead and handle all actions required to ensure that the College range of client devices, desktops, laptops and mobile devices use up to date software, are secure and safeguard the College’s data and systems whilst delivering the requirements of our curriculum and business functions.
The post holder will lead on the administration of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (previously known as SCCM) including WDS and WSUS at the College. They will also administer Microsoft’s mobile device management platform.
This role will suit someone who is an independent thinker, who is thorough, and can learn quickly and enjoys a technical challenge. The ideal candidate will also have strong teamwork skills who can be relied upon to play their part to ensure that the overall activities of the team meet the objective of providing a reliable, modern and safe IT experience for our students and staff.
