About the role
We are looking for an IT Administrator to work within the existing Security and Compliance stream
of IT Operations team to provide support to over 600 users. The successful candidate will work
alongside the IT Managers and IT Administrators to fully support strategic objectives focused on:
- Undertaking various with Licensing and compliance activities for IT Security and Compliance
- Manager to include (but not limited to)
- Improve and support software licence procurement and renewal processes
- Software and hardware asset management processes
- Administer the tools and technologies as required to support recording of licence
- entitlement, recording and maintaining Software Proof of Ownership documentation
- Ensure compliance of software, responding to both vendor and internal audits within
- expected timelines
- Overseeing and ensuring software updates are applied and relevant patch management
- tasks are undertaken to ensure compliance
- Administer software metering tools and reporting to support licence allocation and licence
- procurement requests to ensure not only compliance but cost efficiency across the
- company
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Undertaking various IT Security activities for the IT Security and Compliance manager to include
- (but not limited to)
- o Ongoing compliance and governance tasks relating to ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus
- frameworks
- o Security alert monitoring and remediation
- o Security patching on servers and endpoints
- The successful candidate will also work on other Projects and will work closely liaising with 3rd
- party support to resolve end-user requests relating to security, licensing, and compliance.
- The right person will be required to be hands-on with wide range of IT operational support tasks
- focused on IT Security and compliance.
- Have strong Support experience within a Microsoft Environment including Office365
- Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the procurement, renewal and maintenance
- of Software licences and subscriptions
- Have strong Experience with supporting Asset Management processes
- Have experience with software metering tools and generating software usage reports
- Have working knowledge and experience with security suites deployed for endpoint, email,
- web, etc. and relevant built-in alert monitoring and remediation tools
- Have cyber security awareness, adhere to secure working methods and ability to raise and
- promote security & compliance awareness in end-users
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational
- policy
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
- Experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams with a delivery focus in
- both project and operational environments
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills and the ability to write deliver clear and
- concise messages for different audiences
