Healthcare Support Worker – Aberdeen City School Team
We have an exciting opportunity within the Aberdeen City school nursing team for full and part-time health care support worker role. The team support children and young people across local authority schools delivering school nurse pathway as well as aspects of health promotion and screening. Working within localities and across the city the role will enhance the current healthcare support team and continue to develop the wider provision of universal service to children and young people within Aberdeen city.
The role will form part of the wider team to assist delivery of the school nurse pathway and identified national priorities. Under the direction and supervision of school nurses you will be expected to complete tasks appropriate to the role. You would have experience working with children and young people; working in the community setting or at home would be advantageous. Previous experience of health assessment of children/young people also advantageous but training will be provided to develop skills.
Ongoing development through appraisal and access to appropriate online and other learning is encouraged and facilitated.
