Sustaining Engineer
- Supporting the CAPA/SCAR/SPCN process by owning CAPAs, SPCNs SCARs and driving to completion.
- Execute Sustaining engineering projects by working with cross functional teams, on time, on budget.
- Evaluate and execute Supplier process changes by performing thorough investigation, risk assessment, product and process validation activities, work with subject matter expert and work with other functions of organization.
- Must be able to priorities several projects and activities to support production.
- Create, release & maintain 3D models and 2D drawings in CAD and PLM environment.
- ECO submissions to release/modify existing documentation including BOM, Work instructions, Travelers, Engineering reports or tooling updates as necessary
- Provide support to Sustaining projects by performing Engineering tests, prototype/engineering test assemblies, create test fixtures in lab, support 3D printed samples.
- Support business continuity, cost & product improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
- Masters of Science Degree
- 1+ years of previous Engineering experience in Medical Device
- Previous Class III Medical Device Manufacturing
- Excellent verbal skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines across departments
- Experience in a diverse manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, PCB, calibration, extrusion, precision components, magnets
- Experience with process validation – IQ, OQ, PQ
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability
- Experience with Risk Management systems, FMEA
- Deep experience in plastic injection molding, Integrated Circuits, Sterilization, calibration, extrusion, Cable assemblies, lithium ion batteries
- Strong FEA analysis experience
- English/ Proficient
