We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Investments Product Manager - Capital Markets & Platforms
This role is an opportunity to be a key member of the CIIOM Investment and Wealth Solutions (IWS) Products and Services team within Customer and Products based in Jersey, Channel Islands. The role holder will be responsible for implementing the strategy and undertaking day to day management of Retail Wealth and Private Bank (roll out of functionality, and BAU).
Made up of 2 brands, servicing international expatriate clients (HSBC Expat) and local customers across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, the CIIOM business is today responsible for over 150k customers. As a strategic provider of liquidity for the non-ring fenced bank, as well as being recognized as a priority international market within the global Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) strategy, the CIIOM business is at a critical point in its growth story. The PBT is expected to double over the 5 years, as a result of an ambitious growth plan, supported through significant business investment in systems, people and channels.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the Wealth and Private Bank strategy by enhancing the product shelf and implementing new products (eg. Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Products, DCIs and other markets and trading products) and journeys across different channels (eg. Digital).
- Own and support the journeys, infrastructure, systems, projects, and initiatives that will help Wealth and Private Bank to grow key market segments and achieve business growth objectives. Responsible for the revenue targets for the capital markets and platforms product lines.
- Responsible for the daily management of the product shelf including Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Products, DCIs and any other markets and trading products for both retail wealth and Private Bank propositions.
- Responsible for the daily management of internal and customer facing platforms.
- Responsible for the end-to-end journey of the product which includes the management of markets and trading products, and funds, in the platforms and the financial planning tools, including new mobile capabilities.
- Leverage the digital development agenda to support new business origination and customer journey optimization for the products and journeys.
- Develop and analyse product and platform metrics to drive future actions.
- Ensure the product shelf and customer journeys are fit for purpose for our customers, find and drive the relevant enhancements and change needed. This can be done by enhancing current products, demising or launching new ones.
- Drive the commercialization activities for the products, eg. Marketing campaigns, internal and external communications.
Who we’re looking for:
- Knowledge and/or experience of wealth management products & propositions. Private Bank knowledge is preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience in new product and journey development.
- Experience in managing and owning product revenue.
- Experience in driving and implementing strategic initiatives along with project management (preferred).
- Experience of multi-channel product distribution.
- Experience in development and implementation of policy and procedures.
- Excellent communications skills twinned with ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
