Job description
As a member of the team, your goal will be to assist Corporate and Investment Banking product and coverage teams by providing consistent, high quality deal support and client service.
Job responsibilities
- Providing operational support during the execution of investment and corporate banking transactions across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Lending
- Quarterbacking key milestones in the deal lifecycle: creating deal folders, managing the conflicts submission process, sanctions screening, conducting Counterparty Due Diligence, Environmental and Social Risk Assessment, and client due diligence/Know Your Client processes etc.
- Partnering with the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Client Office, Bankers and Compliance teams to assess documentation requirements for new client legal entity on-boarding and new business implementation
- Assisting in audit / regulatory reviews, controls issue resolution and reporting
- Assist in the execution of strategic projects and process improvements
- Deploy solutions to improve client experience - e.g., use of data and analytics to evaluate and quantify Client Experience
- Navigate the firm on behalf of clients and bankers; coordinate with different business groups and facilitate discussions
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Previous experience and sound knowledge of investment banking products (Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Equity Capital Markets) as well as Corporate Banking products and processes
- Comfortable dealing with clients/senior executives on a regular basis
- Highly self-motivated to work independently and on broad based teams that cross Lines of Business
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Advanced work experience preferred with a background in sales/client service and project management is a plus
- German or other European languages would be beneficial
