In this role you will provide investigative support to the Major Incident Support Unit (MISU), by taking responsibility for functions concerned with the investigations into murder and Major Crime Investigation.
Acting as investigating officer in investigations, you will also take responsibility for evidence gathering, file preparation and submission and the management of cases throughout the Judicial and Coronial process.

You will also perform roles within the Major Incident Room as directed by the SIO, including disclosure, CCTV and exhibits management.

The successful candidate will possess knowledge of Criminal Law and procedures relating to the role, particularly understanding of PACE and CPIA and Police procedures.
Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to liaise, consult and advise across all levels of the force and with other bodies/agencies is essential as is experience of research and/or analytical skills.
