CLEANING ASSISTANT
St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College
Salary: Grade 1 SCP 1
(£20,258) pro rata to hours worked
16.00 hours per week on a full-time permanent contract. Actual salary £8,839

This is an opportunity to join us in making a significant difference to the students at St Wilfrid’s.
Under the direction/instruction of the Site Manager or Site Assistant, provide a clean, hygienic and welcoming school environment which meets specified cleaning standards.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that a specific area of the school is clean, cleaning all surfaces, fixtures and fittings
- Clean floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate
- Clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas
- Clean equipment after use
- Undertake special cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises
- Collect and dispose of waste in an appropriate manner
St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College is a mixed voluntary Academy for 11-18 year olds, based in North Featherstone in West Yorkshire. There are currently 1,534 students in attendance. The school opened in 1963 and has a proud history. We were judged as Good by Ofsted in November 2022 and we were also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2017.
We are proudly part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust which comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools.
