Studio Cambridge was founded in Cambridge in 1954 and is the oldest and largest established language school in the city. It is a privately owned, independent school and therefore not part of a large chain. It is renowned for its friendly, family atmosphere with both students and staff. The school is recognised by the British Council and is a member of English UK. Studio Cambridge is open throughout the year, teaching English to overseas students.
Summer Camps
We have been running residential Summer Camps for over 40 years. We aim to provide students with a unique experience. For many of them it will be their first trip abroad and their first trip away from home unaccompanied by parents.
We want them to feel happy and confident while living and studying in a new country. We hope to develop their language skills in a comfortable, safe and relaxed learning environment, and we hope that they will have lots of fun - in class, during activities and on excursions.
We are looking for Camp Managers - Teaching, Activities and Welfare, Teachers and Activity Staff. We have residential and non-residential positions available.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Native speaker level of English required
- Educational level of A levels or equivalent or higher
- Interest in sports, arts and crafts and/or cultural activities
- Experience of working with 8-17 year-olds is preferable but not essential
Duties
- Look after students in residence
- Supervise and lead activities and excursions
- Pastoral care
- Teach English (Teaching positions)
- Organise the programme and supervise staff (Managers)
Duration
3-8 weeks starting 2 July 2022
Hours
- Residential - upto 48 hours per week, one to two full days off each week
Salary
- From £390 plus £47.07 holiday pay per week, including full board, to £650 plus £78.46 holiday pay per week, including full board
