Job description
The International Development Division (IDD) is an integral part of the University's Directorate for the Student Experience. The International Relations section comprises a busy team which co-ordinates a range of activities including support to inward and outward visits, management of relationships with key international sponsors, provision of arrival services for new international students, scholarship support, student mobility and handles a wide range of enquiries from external stakeholders and colleagues across the institution. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised, customer-focused individual to join our team.
The key aspects of the role are to:
- Processes and procedures administration - to provide clerical and administrative support for key processes and procedures. These processes primarily related to, but are not limited to, the University’s Key International Sponsors (external organisations) and the students they fund.
- Managing a shared mailbox and answering queries via telephone (Team’s Voice) handling queries from students and staff across the university, as well as external individuals, sponsors and organisations.
- Team administrative support and diary management including work for the Associate Vice-President International, Head of International Relations and the International Relations team as a whole.
- Inward and outward visit support – to support the team with arrangements and administrative support relating to visits from external individuals or organisations to the University, as well as outward visits from university staff. For example, this could include, but not limited to, travel arrangements and bookings, catering, and room bookings.
The role will involve providing administrative support for key International Relations activities primarily focused upon support to international sponsor requirements and inward visit arrangements as well as a range of other activities, such as updating our SharePoint site. We are seeking someone who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a variety of enquirers from all over the world as well as internally across the university, who takes pride in delivering an exceptional level of customer care and who has a keen eye for detail.
