THE GIG
Based in our Camden HQ, the Global Marketing Photo Studio delivers content for Dr. Martens globally and are passionate about bringing the Dr. Martens values and aesthetic direct to the consumer. The Studio is rapidly growing and a team who are obsessed with the consumer connection looking to acquire new consumers and build brand equity.
This is a brand-new role for Global Marketing, reporting to the Studio Manager. Working within Global Marketing, as our Studio Creative Lead you will partner with the Marketing Creative Team to define the look of Studio productions. You will deliver our unique Brand aesthetic and bring a best-in-class creative outcome to the consumer.
As our Studio Creative Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Developing the Dr. Martens’ Photo Studio Creative Direction and executing the final art direction on set
- Generating and developing concept ideations in response to seasonal design themes and briefs.
- Working alongside the Global Marketing Producer to finalise creative direction solutions including the talent selects, styling and location options
- Developing Global Marketing Studio seasonal creative looks in collaboration with Global Creative Marketing and Brand Marketing Teams
- Art direction on talent shoot sets and shoot selects with post-production notes for retouch
- Being a Brand Custodian and ensuring Studio content aligns consistently with Dr. Martens’ aesthetic

Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
- Proven experience supported by an extensive portfolio showing creative ideation for photographic and video productions
- Experience building creative direction that connects the consumer to the brand aesthetic.
- Proven ability in planning and executing multiple workflows to prioritise deliverables by collaborating with Studio Production teams.
- Experience in on-set Art Direction and working with creative teams
- In depth knowledge and passion for creative trends, fashion, music, and contemporary culture
- Understanding of the user experience of marketing content, to align the brand with consumer developments
- Ability to plan and deliver creative pitches to key stakeholders including Global and Regional teams
