Salary: £27,055 per annum (excluding London weighting)

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We collaborate with the Consortium and its related NHS Trusts in London and the surrounding areas. To guarantee that London has a sufficient number of highly experienced Mental Health Nurses to maintain the requisite high standards of service.

Job role and Duties

  • Evaluate and talk to patients about their condition and the best way to plan and deliver their care.
  • Build relationships with patients to encourage trust while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns.
  • Ensure the right administration of medication, including injections, and monitor the results of treatment.
  • Respond to distressed patients and try to understand the source of their discomfort.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to assist patients in managing their emotions.
  • To assist the Senior Nurse in Charge in managing and coordinating ward activities.

Person Specification:

  • At least 6 months of registered Mental Health Nursing experience
  • Passed the NMC English exam requirements (IELTS or OET)
  • Nurse and Midwifery Council registration - (application must be in process)
  • Passed your Competency based Test (CBT) -
  • RMNs that have previous experience in mental health setting
  • Capable of working without supervision
  • A thorough awareness of various mental health disorders
