ABOUT THE ROLE

As we focus on our future growth, it is vital we create the right conditions for our Marketing functions to be truly customer-centric. This will enable us to develop new business models to take next-generation products to market and to easily bring customer insight into the product development processes.

In the role of International Marketing Director within our Education division, you’ll be responsible for planning, directing and controlling the overall marketing strategy. You’ll provide marketing services to International and OxfordAQA, a joint venture, bringing a unique view not just on resources and published goods but with qualifications too.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support consumer-focused multi-channel demand and lead generation campaigns across events, sponsorships, digital marketing, content marketing, social media and PR
  • Lead the strategy, channels and infrastructure to enable effective use of digital marketing
  • Provide leadership in brand management to ensure integrity and clarity with the corporate brand and sub-brands
  • Ensure strong relationships are in place across the Education division and OxfordAQA for clear alignment of marketing and brand strategies globally
  • Lead International and OxfordAQA’s approach to professional development services as part of our integrated offer
  • Ensure customer, competitor and market research programmes help inform marketing, product, and customer experience strategies
  • Drive strong sales and marketing alignment

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

ABOUT YOU

As we continue our digital transformation, you’ll play a key role in shifting our business models to ensure they are fit for future, and with that may come a lot of unknowns. You’ll be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and use the data available coupled with your experience of the market to make sensible decisions.

Essential:

  • Extensive experience of developing and implementing measurable and commercially successful marketing strategies
  • Strong digital and data literacy experience, including CRM and marketing automation
  • Proven success in a leadership role, with strong entrepreneurial skills
  • Proven people management, advocacy, and influencing skills

Desirable:

  • Experience of working across International markets
  • Experience in developing brand equity through media, thought leadership, and advocacy activities
  • Experience working within matrixed organisations
