Job Description :
The Asset Management Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the team and the operational tasks demanded by the Asset Management process flows; this covers end-to-end hardware and software asset management.
The purpose of the Asset Management team is to control and protect the company hardware and software assets, ensuring data accuracy and making best use of the company hardware and software assets.
Responsibilities:
To act as Process Owner for the Service Asset Management Process.
Ensure all process documentation is available and current.
Responsible for the execution of the end-to-end operational workload of the Asset Management processes, from purchasing through to hardware and software disposal. Supporting the Asset Management Manager as required.
Meet with stakeholders to identify their needs and objectives, and to gain an understanding of how hardware and software can be used to support those needs. Continually obtain feedback from stakeholders.
Raise Change records where required and review / input into proposed changes relating to the Asset Management processes.
Actively highlight areas of improvements for the toolsets used such as the Service Management Tool, SAM Tool to ensure fit for use and fit for purpose relating to the Asset Management function.
Communicate changes to the hardware and software asset management processes to key stakeholders and the business where required.
Schedule and attend internal and vendor meetings where required to support the Asset Management processes.
Has the authority to propose and carry out changes to the Asset Management processes ensuring document control is followed.
Administer and maintain the desktop hardware environment of the CMS for but not limited to; Desktop, Laptop, Tablet and Mobile assets.
Investigate and review any failures of process and escalate to the Desktop Services Manager if required.
Administer and maintain the Definitive Media Library to assist in the assurance of accurate software asset management and license reporting.
Identify opportunities for service improvement at an operational level to ensure compliance to the processes.
Support the Desktop services Manager and provide reports to other Service Management functions when required.
Meet and exceed the Asset Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Ensure that CSI are maintained within Asset Management.
Follow process, procedure and work instruction documentation and highlight any areas for improvement or training requirements.
Understands the services that News UK Technology delivers to its customers.
Train and be a mentor to new Asset Management Analysts.
Facilitate hardware and software license reporting and vendor audits using the available reporting tools.
Identify opportunities for cost savings in both the procurement of hardware and software assets.
Requirements:
ITIL qualified to V3 Foundation level.
Experience in Remedy Service Management Tool.
To hold the iSEB SAM Foundation qualification.
Desirable to hold the iSEB Software Asset Management Practitioner qualification.
Experience with SNOW LM Software Asset Management tool.
Desirable qualification in a technical discipline, demonstrating skills in the understanding, investigation, analysis and presentation of complex information.
ISO 20k Foundation
Relevant experiences in a support function within a medium to large size of organization.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $178,500
