Internal Communications Manager, Consumer (Business partner for Commercial)
- Business partnering our Consumer Commercial team, owning their comms strategy and plans, including comms across Consumer and BT as well as within the teams themselves.
- Giving thoughtful and brilliant advice to the MD of Commercial and their leadership team on all internal communications matters
- Bringing the future to life for Commercial colleagues in a way they can advocate for Consumer’s strategy, its’ products and services, and as a place to work.
- Designing and delivering brilliant internal communications and campaigns across Consumer’s Commercial team and beyond.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to challenge and influence at all levels of the business in a positive and respectful way
- Be an active, engaged member of the team, providing insight and feedback, and supporting and helping others in their development
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge of BT’s strategy, our Consumer strategy, our IC strategy and how they’re connected, to help drive understanding across the business through the communications you create
- Make sure the Commercial strategic narrative, tone of voice, visual approach and campaigns mean that we’re always connecting with our people in the very best way so that they can advocate for Consumer
- Actively build great relationships with key stakeholders across Commercial and Consumer, to develop a strong understanding of our priorities, challenges and audiences
- Be a trusted advisor to the MD, Commercial and the Commercial leadership team
- Play a key role in delivering Consumer Live each year.
- Be a collaborative and supportive member of the Consumer Internal Communications, happy to muck in outside of your immediate role remit to drive the wider team’s success
- Significant experience in delivering internal communications in a highly complex and fast-paced organisation
- Proven ability to operate in an advisory capacity to senior executives with brilliant outcomes
- Strong commercial nouse with a real passion for how to make great communications decisions based on it
- Ability to work in a matrix
- Ability to work at pace and to oversee outstanding execution of multiple projects
- Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies and plans across multiple channels and audiences
- Demonstrable evidence of positively influencing employee engagement
