Job description
Job Title: Robot Welder / Fabrication Operative - Aluminium Foundry.
Reporting to: Production Supervisor / Production Manager
The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment alongside an experienced fabrication team who specialises in mild steel MIG welding.
The candidate will need to have the knowledge and capability to produce aesthetically but also sound welds on a variety of joint types and material thicknesses.
Hours of work: Monday - Thursday: 6am - 4pm, Friday - Sunday: Off
Role:
- Loading of mild steel components into jigs and fixtures using clamps to hold parts into place
- Manually operate robot making basic corrections
- Visual inspection of parts
- Ability to work and maintain proven run times
- Ability to read and understand designs and drawings
- Ensure that any issues regarding HSE are reported immediately.
- Ensuring that the quality and quantity of products are up to quality expectations.
- Competent use of workshop equipment (incl. angle grinders, lathe, bandsaws, and pillar drills)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Person Specifications:
- 1 - 2 years’ previous experience with robotic welding is desirable.
- Experience with producing high quality parts
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ensure production demands and customer requirements are met
- Ability to use your initiative
- Good communications skills (A good standard of English is essential)
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
