Together we will be building a world-class internal comms team. You will help bring our business to life- through a comprehensive and well-planned communication and engagement strategy by helping us bring our internal brand and channels to fruition.
You will play a key role in ensuring IAG Cargo remains a great place to work by building and executing relevant and timely communications and channel strategies to help drive colleague engagement with the business vision, mission, and strategy.
You will be the type of individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands that building relationships can give just as much insight as any survey – although we do those too! You will have creative flair, underpinned with the organisation and determination to implement your ideas.
You will be able to listen, talk to people and figure out the heartbeat of an organisation quicker than most, as well as develop the right channels and messaging to help enhance the moments that matter. Ultimately you will help break down the divisions that exist, celebrate the work we do and effectively communicate from the ground up as well as from the top down.
The day to day…
- Working in conjunction with the Director of People, Senior Internal Communications Manager and wider business, to develop internal communication plans and processes.
- A tenacious approach to delivery, building processes and communication approaches that last – in order to establish legacy creating comms and initiatives.
- Drive communication activity across a full range of internal channels (print, email, digital, apps and collaboration platforms as well as face to face events). Working collaboratively with the wider people team to support the development of best-in-class employee experience.
- Work with the Senior Internal Communication Manager to align internal communication opportunities and project delivery (key messaging plans, Q&A and proactive support) across the business.
- Work with external agencies to ensure creative and consistent brand delivery and use of the latest thinking – becoming a brand custodian for our look and feel.
- Work with the local communications champions (where applicable) to source local content and co-ordinate messages and establish local channels – working to manage and increase the comms advocates.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of communication activity. Propose improvement actions where
- Influencing key stakeholders, using relevant and insightful data and insights to highlight and train colleagues on effective communication to ensure that putting our people at the heart of the heart of our business remains a high priority.
- And of course, writing to a high standard across all channels.
It’s all about you….
- Demonstrable experience of internal communications and staff engagement within complex organisations. Experience of working with a frontline and global workforce would be beneficial.
- Experience of owning successful engaging internal comms plans and processes.
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously when required; highly motivated, and enthusiastic, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership - not afraid to get stuck
- A creative flair and innovative thinker who is digitally savvy, with experience using the latest technologies to bring industry best-practice to
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills – standing up to run an event won’t phase you.
- A decisive and strategic thinker, with the ability to plan-ahead and embed processes and channels that will leave a legacy.
- Effective time management, ability to multi–task and with a meticulous eye for detail – bring on the grammar police.
- Proven ability to translate complicated messages into clear, simple engaging
- Ability to influence and challenge to a senior
- Experience employee engagement and industrial relations a bonus.
