Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to support the roll out and analysis of JD People communication strategies, campaigns,
and initiatives across the Group. Looking for ways to inform and inspire our colleagues through engaging content.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support all areas of the JD People team in delievering initiatives and messages via all available internal channels. Be the first point of contact to review communication briefs from the People Team and advise on best practice.
- Manage a comms calendar for the People Experience Team, ensuring communication goes out on time.
- Work with our in-house Studio Team and Content Creation Apprentice, briefing design work, ensuring this is in line with People Branding and relevant for the audience.
- Always look for new ways we can communicate to our colleagues, ensuring this in a way they like to digest information aiding engagement. Helping the team to innovate and develop its communication methods.
- Help generate engaging content for our 50+ page monthly internal magazine for all Group colleagues.
- Share content on our internal channels, including (but not limited to): Email, Intranet, HR system, Vimeo, aiding with the assessment of and development of these platforms going forward.
- Design and send emails on behalf of all JD People functions covering a broad range of subjects (anything from initiative launches to process updates, ticket giveaways or crisis comms)
- Mentor our People Experience Apprentice to assist in the generation, creation and publication of materials across all platforms.
- Curate and maintain library of materials produced across the business for broader use (Investis site etc.)
- Liaise with People Relations team in order to update and maintain Company Handbook.
- Create and devise briefing documents/Powerpoint decks upon request for presentations on departmental projects and initiatives
- Work with People Experience Business Partner – Communications to develop existing methods of communications meausrements and analysis. Support with monthly report to aid analysis of communication methods.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
- A passion for creating engaging content that inspires colleagues at all levels.
- Experience of writing and publishing engaging copy on a broad range of topics
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate the vision to a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent English/proofreading skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Powerpoint & Excel
- An interest in communications reporting and channel analysis
- Experience of monthly reporting would be advantageous
