The EMEA Thought Leadership team in IQVIA is looking for individuals who would like to take a paid internship for a continuous period of 8-10 weeks, based in IQVIA's Paddington Offices, over the summer of 2023, start and finish dates to be discussed, but the core months to be July and August. The EMEA Thought Leadership team is a team with a focus on developing IQVIA's point of view and Thought Leadership on pharmaceutical and healthcare industry issues which affect our clients. The issues and topics that we cover in EMEA Thought Leadership are most often global in nature and relevance, but we present most frequently to European, Middle eastern and African clients. We regularly research and present the IQVIA view on trends and future direction in the global pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, both commercial and clinical, including the development of biologics and biosimilars markets, cell and gene therapy, launch excellence for pharmaceutical products, multichannel marketing and social media, key therapy areas such as oncology, regions such as Africa, and many others.
Applicant Profile
Applicants must have a minimum of a first degree (or be in the final year of a first degree) in a relevant subject (Scientific, Quantitative or Business), and be able to undertake paid work in the United Kingdom; we will not be able to provide support with visas or other requirements to qualify to live and work in the United Kingdom, or with accommodation in London.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare, with a strong interest in learning more about these industries. Successful candidates will have the ability to research subjects in both a quantitative and qualitative fashion, and then present findings and ideas elegantly and effectively in both Word and PowerPoint. They will need to be prepared to learn how to use the IQVIA databases and information resources rapidly and accurately. The role requires a high level of numeracy, including good excel and database handling skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and in the context of a small, close knit team.
