Full Time Woking, England 10.56 - 12.04 GBP Today
Job description

You are passionate about software development and love to work with technology.
You want the opportunity to be part of a small intake of high calibre students where you learn, innovate and have fun.
You want to be part of an organisation that still has that start-up spirit and from day-one treats you like a valued and contributing member of the team.

Our product suite is web-based and delivered to our customers via the cloud as an integrated suite of SaaS applications. As a software developer you will gain hands-on experience in the development, maintenance and delivery of high quality professional software using many technologies and techniques that support and promote our cloud-first development & delivery approach.

You will join one of our agile teams and will quickly be working on code delivered into our production systems. You will be buddied by a senior software engineer with support, mentoring and on-the-job training given as required.

Some of the languages and technologies that you could be exposed to include: java & javascript (front-end and backend); AWS, docker & Kubernetes; HTML/CSS, React & REST; Oracle, MongoDB, Snowflake; maven, Jenkins (pipelines), terraform. The exact tech will depend upon the agile team that you join.

Learn from the best (and maybe teach us something along the way!), come and join our team as a student placement software developer.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA
To be eligible for this role you must be currently enrolled on a university honours or masters degree course that has a “placement year in industry” (or similar) associated to it. Please do not apply if you are graduating in 2023 and seeking a permanent graduate position.

Applications are invited from candidates studying for a Computer Science based degree (or similar). We will also consider students studying other disciplines if they have a keen interest and proven ability in software development.

When you join us, you’ll also be joining Danaher’s global organization, where 80,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win. As an associate, you’ll try new things, work hard, and advance your skills with guidance from dedicated leaders, all with the support of powerful Danaher Business System tools and the stability of a tested organization.

At Danaher, we value diversity and the existence of similarities and differences, both visible and not, found in our workforce, workplace and throughout the markets we serve. Our associates, customers and shareholders contribute unique and different perspectives as a result of these diverse attributes.

If you’ve ever wondered what’s within you, there’s no better time to find out.
