Position Overview
The Industry Futures team at Autodesk Research is seeking a highly qualified researcher to join us for summer 2023 or earlier. The ideal intern will conduct research on techniques to extract and apply insights from datasets generated by operational digital twins.
Responsibilities
- Research and recommend creative approaches to identify patterns and trends from operational data
- Explore a Data Analytics commercial software to faster understand how a commercial solution could be used to speed up the insights extraction
- Data pre-processing (e.g. data cleaning, etc.) and feature extraction on time series data and associated metadata
- Develop working a prototype to showcase and validate the proposed solution
- Communicate research findings to stakeholders through quantitative data analysis and qualitative visuals and insights
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a PhD or with a PhD in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of current research in Data Analytics (e.g. Data Pre-Processing, Feature Extraction, Advanced Statistics, ML, Knowledge Graphs, etc.)
- Experience with programming languages and libraries related to the domain of expertise
- Interest or familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD), structural simulation, and digital twins
