Overall Purpose of Job
Undergraduate Intern in the Real World Solutions (RWS) team will be involved in a broad range of business intelligence related initiatives aimed to support the team vision – to enable the business to win more & grow margins. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of how technology, data, and business intelligence tools can be leveraged to enhance business management & operations in a diverse, fast paced company whilst working & networking with a range of stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
Principal Accountabilities
- Build an understanding of business goals, objectives and needs
- Support & contribute towards a diverse range of operational and business intelligence initiatives including the end to end development and implementation of business intelligence solutions
- Source, wrangle, and analyse operational data in support of operations & assist in resolving business issues using our tools and data
- Develop slide decks, tailor messaging & create executive summaries to communicate initiative plans, progress & outputs to broad stakeholder audiences
- Be agile & open to participating in new initiatives and priorities as they arise
Candidate Requirements
- Undergraduate placement
- Some experience working with data and related tools and/or programming languages (Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication & problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm to work effectively as a part of a team & comfortable working autonomously
- Strong IT skills preferential for the full Office 365 Suite, especially in MS PowerPoint & MS Excel, although training will be provided
- Flexible team member able to multi-task, act on initiative & comfortable with ambiguity
