Are you a skilled Interim Finance Officer with a passion for education and financial management? Are you looking for a short-term opportunity to contribute to the success of a Multi Academy Trust in North West England? If so, we have an exciting position for you!

The Role:

Our client are currently seeking a competent and motivated Interim Finance Officer to join their team for a period of 3 months. As the Interim Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department and ensuring smooth financial operations within the Multi Academy Trust. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and financial acumen will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records and providing valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile bank statements.
• Support the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
• Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Assist in monitoring cash flow and expenses.
• Work closely with budget holders to provide financial guidance and support.
• Help with financial audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar role, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
• Relevant finance-related qualifications are desirable but not essential.
