Salary: from £51,000 up to circa 67K depending on skills and experience
Full Time Permanent (35 hours per week)
As the Insurance Business Manager you will be responsible for the performance of a range of insurance products for drivers of Volkswagen Group vehicles. This role has not been available for some time and is a great opportunity to join us. You will manage internal and external stakeholders and suppliers and be key to successful performance output. Your extensive insurance industry experience will be crucial to ensure that decisions are technically sound and in the appropriate context, coupled with significant commercial awareness and a sound understanding of the practical application of Compliance requirements
This is what you could be doing:
- You will ensure revenue plans and income results are achieved
- Use your reporting skills to clearly identify market and channel performance and, inform decisions to support the achievement of plan objectives
- Your technical Insurance expertise will be used to represent VWFS’ interests and requirements with Insurer partners and suppliers
- Supplier propositions will be accurately delivered and service levels met and you will be accountable for this
- Collaboration with multiple VWFS teams will be essential to understand and develop Insurance growth opportunities and deliver new products in line with overall strategy
- Your project management methodology experience will support the delivery of change activity as needed
- Insurance activity must remain compliant and you will ensure this happens
- You will also contribute to annual and ongoing financial planning
Skills and Experience you will already have:
- A thorough working knowledge of the Insurance industry gained through experience in a variety of technical, development and operational roles is essential
- You will be ACII qualified or progressing towards this qualification
- Your experience means you have a full understanding of key operational Compliance aspects such as: TCF and Contract certainty
- You will bring significant experience of Insurance change initiatives particularly, scheme implementation and ongoing management
- Having experience of alternative risk transfer models, retention, captives and Reinsurance structures and placing requirements will also be really useful
- Understanding of operational and technology best practice to ensure VWFS’ interests are appropriately represented
- Your communication and negotiation skills will be well-developed and you can engage with all audiences
- Be able to come up with new and creative approaches to problem solving and innovation
- PC literate, especially in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. (Intermediate level)
