Insurance Adviser - Personal Lines
Salary £28,000 - £30,000
Hybrid working model
Based – Long Eaton
The role
This is a unique opportunity to join a professional team of Personal Lines superstars! It’s a friendly but professional environment within a well-known successful company based in Long Eaton.
The duties:
· Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls, emails, and allocated post
· Respond to clients at the counter and deal with their enquiries
· Record all conversations with customers and/or insurers or other relevant business contacts in accordance with the firms procedures
· Provide new business quotations and advice for Personal Lines and complete mid term adjustments
· Draw client’s attention to all information pertinent to their insurance, including duty of disclosure, warranties, and onerous conditions etc.
· Place accepted quotations with the relevant insurer and update inhouse system
· Complete renewals within agreed service standards
· Check thoroughly all client documentation prior to dispatch and correct as required
· Ensure all processes follow the firm’s Practices and Procedures manual
· Control your own diary
· Debt control of own allocated book of business
· Ensure the supplies of insurance literature are maintained and up-to-date
· Assist with training colleagues as required
Experience required:
· Proven track record of personal lines insurance
· Knowledge of Acturis system
· Full cycle EDI
· Knowledge of the key covers and significant terms and conditions of all policies that are recommended
· Experience of the Personal insurance markets
· Knowledge of FCA
· Data Protection
· Money Laundering
· Bribery & Corruption
· Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
