Job Duties
Prepare and facilitate the delivery of the Bookkeeping for Small Business courses including providing instruction in a classroom environment.
Demonstrate specific accounting transactions (recording transactions, categorizing assets and liabilities, capital income and expenses, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, bank conciliation, inventory, depreciation, worksheet income statements and balance sheet) and facilitate skill practice.
Answer student questions related to a small business environment.
Manage the classroom to provide an optimum learning environment for students.
Work co-operatively with the Continuing Education Consultant and colleagues in an interdependent “team” environment.
Practice good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Description
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Vocational Technical Education or Bachelor of Education with a focus on business education or Business Degree or Diploma in the subject area and one year of instructional methodology or an equivalent combination of post- secondary education and experience. CGA, CMA preferred or Bachelor of Business Admn with Accounting major or Business Diploma with an Accounting major. Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners acquire the required knowledge and skills. Knowledge of the small business environment.
