Job Title: Food & Beverage Assistant
Hours of work: Shifts between 7am to 11pm Monday to Sunday
Summary of Position:
To provide a friendly and efficient service to the guests and visitors of the hotel in line with The Beeches’ Hotel standards. As an F&B Assistant you are responsible for providing a high standard of customer service in order to achieve and maintain loyalty from guests and the general public, as well as to maximise revenue in the bar and restaurant area. Bar Persons are accountable for the satisfaction of all guests whilst offering a high level of service at all times which exceeds expectation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assembling the breakfast buffet before service and clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables disassembling it thereafter.
- Ensuring that the breakfast buffet remains well-stocked at all times.
- Resolving customers' queries and complaints.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping the floors after each meal service.
- Providing customers with condiments upon request.
- Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, functions and beverages to the required standards.
- Cleaning and sanitising tables and countertops after each meal and reset for the next service.
- Assist guests with any information they require about facilities and amenities in the hotel and surrounding areas.
- Process transactions and compile guest bills and bar orders, taking payment where necessary.
- Ensure that all room service orders are executed promptly and they meet the required standards for presentation and food quality.
- Adhere to regulations on the service of alcohol.
- Constantly strive to improve the standards of hygiene service throughout the bar.
- Keep the kitchen and front of house team up-to-date and with any table bookings /requests during the day.
- Work with all other departments to ensure the smooth running of the overall hotel operation.
- Set up refreshments and buffets for events, ensuring to refer to function sheet for timings.
- Have a full understanding of the hotel’s fire procedure and undergo training every six months.
- Keep all products stocked up correctly in all F&B areas

Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
