We are looking for 2 Installation Apprentices - the perfect start to develop your skills within a purpose driven, global engineering organisation and a salaried placement.
This opportunity will suit anyone that has the desire to learn, enthusiastic, resilient approach who can adapt to change and be willing to take on a variety of tasks whilst taking a new challenge within their stride.
The role will require the individual to undertake a structured training program of academic study, field service work and office operations in order to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the HVDC Service business requirements.
Additionally, there will be an opportunity to receive a formal qualification in a subject to be mutually agreed. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn and gain insight into High Voltage Direct Current business.

Learning Objectives:
This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the entire end to end service environment. Within HVDC the tasks will include but not limited to:
- Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills within installation and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff.
- How to own problems and take the responsibility of solving them
- Office administration
- Project Management and Operations tasks
- Sales & Tendering activities
- Learning and understanding the importance of Health, Safety, Environment within the workspace.
- Undertake and successfully complete suitable college courses throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills in order to entitle yearly progression leading to the award of a suitable qualification.
- Able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the department.
