Guinness Property provide repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our customers’ homes are safe and maintained to high standard.

About the role

We currently have a vacancy within Guinness Property for an Empty Homes Inspector based in London on a Permanent Basis. Reporting to the Service Manager you’ll be required to carry out property inspections prior to and on completion of Empty Homes work across Greater London.

You’ll not only be a fully qualified and experienced Empty Homes Inspector, but you’ll also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to provide a high-quality service in compliance with relevant procedures and legislation.

Skills / Experience
Essential:

  • Up to date knowledge of building construction, repairs, and safety legislation.
  • Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
  • Experience of repairs/EH management information systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience of delivering a high-quality service.
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Schedule of Rates job specification.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Experience of recording data accurately onto handheld devices.
  • Experience of working as part of a team who deliver front line services.
  • Extensive knowledge of building maintenance technical operations

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the required trade
