An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a skilled and qualified Inspector to join our team at Customer Delivery Centre in Derby.
In this role, you will be working on some of the best products in the industry across major engine projects. You will find any non-conformance on components using various inspection techniques and your role will also involve working with cross functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities.
You will be part of our Production Test Facility (PTF). PTF is the home of Civil Large Engines, where over 30,000 parts are brought together from across the supply chain for final engine assembly and testing.

What you will be doing:
You will carry out inspection and work as part of the team to contribute to the business objectives of delivering Engines for our customers on time and to a high specification. You will be responsible for:
- Measuring and inspection of Engines to relevant engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Operating according to safety requirements.
- Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
- Raising non-conformance issues.
- Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
- Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.
Who we are looking for:

- A recognised time-served apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline at NVQ level 3/City and Guilds level 3/BTEC level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience in using a variety of engineering equipment with ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality.
- Ideally, relevant inspection/fitting experience of engine components.
- PC literacy is essential.
