Growth
The Growth team is responsible for defining and driving the execution of Planet’s Growth and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. Within our team, we combine Go-To-Market strategy, Marketing, Inside Sales, Pre-Sales Consulting, and Revenue Operations to grow Planet’s business and expand into new markets and customer segments. From top-level strategy to operational excellence and execution. We design end-to-end customer acquisition journeys and drive high-impact Go-To-Market motions at scale. We are natural team players, partnering closely with the Hospitality, Retail, and Partner teams, Product, Operations, and many others. We play to win and always put the customer first.
Role Overview:
The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the growth and success of the Business Development Representatives. We are looking for a great coach that has a strong record of building and managing this type of team (SDR/BDR). You enjoy not only the strategic side of leading and developing a team, but you also enjoy getting involved in the day-to-day to help evolve and guide the team.
What you will do:
Initially work with external resources who are currently responsible for outbound prospecting initiatives. Focus on resource allocation, target list collaboration, messaging, and stakeholder management.
When appropriate, work with stakeholders to build an internal team: hiring, training, quota setting, reviewing performance, and creating processes and governance.
Drive consistent performance across the team (external and/or internal) to exceed monthly & quarterly targets on volumes and conversion rates.
Develop and manage plans to drive new qualified sales opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to help develop and improve materials for onboarding, sales training, pipeline reports, dashboards, lead generation, and account targeting.
Maintain an accurate pipeline of all opportunities, contacts, and account history in Salesforce.
Report sales activity and lead outcomes to leadership on a recurring basis.
Who You Are:
Inside Sales or Business Development experience, with management experience required.
Knowledgeable in messaging strategy and how to qualify prospects over the phone.
Highly motivated, tenacious, passionate, and consistently achieving a high level of objective success.
Experience with various sales tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Chorus, etc.
Preference (but not required) to speak one of the core languages in addition to English: German, Spanish, Italian, or French.
Self-starter who is proactive, highly motivated, organized, and curious with a desire to drive constant improvement.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others, comfortable in presenting to, and influencing, senior leaders across the business.
Flexible and a genuine team player, willing to go the extra mile to support others.
