Adult Social Care – Walsall – Hybrid Working
Salary G5 £23,194 - £26,845 per annum
1 Full Time Post - 37 Hours a Week
Full Time post 8.45am - 5.15pm (Mon to Thurs) 8.45am - 4.45pm on Fridays
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of highly skilled referral officers supporting adults in Walsall.
The role entails taking new referrals, and dealing with queries for anyone contacting Walsall Adult Social Care for the first time including people who may need support with their physical health, mental health, learning disability, sensory needs, need for occupational therapy, etc.
The team is also responsible for receiving all safeguarding adults referrals ensuring the information we have is accurate and processed in a timely way to be worked on by an appropriate practitioner.
The overall objective of the team is to gather information, signpost and focus on getting people the right help first time.
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in communication, be extremely organised and be able to work in a fast paced environment. They will be able to act decisively offering advice, signposting or taking referrals into adult social care, maintaining focus on the wellbeing and safety of the person.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English
