Job description
We are seeking an Information Systems Support Desk Officer to join our busy Information Systems Support Desk Team. We provide Clinical Applications support to all Solent staff in Southampton and Portsmouth.
The successful applicant will provide support to the Manager and a team of Support Desk Analysts in managing Smart Cards, Clinical Applications, primarily SystmOne, but also the Inform system, NHS eReferrals, and other Portsmouth Hospitals Trust and University Hospitals Southampton clinical applications. You should be a quick learner, organized, and an excellent communicator. You will need to have a flexible, friendly and approachable attitude and be an enthusiastic team player who has an eye for detail.
You should have a positive approach to customer care, be able to prioritise your workload and manage your time efficiently.
Training and support will be given to the right candidate although experience of Clinical applications, mainly SystmOne, is desirable. Community and Mental Health service experience is beneficial, but not essential.
Applicants must have excellent IT skills and be prepared to work in other bases when necessary.
Due to the nature of the post it is expected that you will have access to a car, a full driving license and insurance for business use.
