Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Cheshire – Hybrid and Flexible Working
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
The Company
An award-winning Solutions Provider is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their Project team. The company are fast growing, industry leading managed service provider delivering in to mid and large enterprise clients.
They partner with a number of household named vendors and deliver cutting-edge digital transformation projects. These are multi-million-pound projects that you will have the opportunity to be heavily involved in.
Technical Project Manager Responsibilities
As Technical Project Manager you will report to the Head of Projects while supporting the Solution Provider’s key clients throughout the UK. Your focus will be primarily on delivering large-scale Enterprise Network Solutions, Data Centre transformation projects and Security solutions. You will be leading technical teams, and liaising with clients and key stakeholders. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Project management of multi-million-pound projects.
- Although not a technical role, having an understanding of technology, ideally within Enterprise Networks, Wireless, Security and Data Centre.
- Customer facing communication, handling day to day delivery or projects and act as point of escalation.
- Define and deliver to risk, communication, and budget management governance.
- Deliver to transformation projects and consolidation services.
- Calculating budgets, managing projects, and delivering detailed documentation.
Skills / Experience required for the Technical Project Manager
The business will support your professional development, with financial support for earning vendor certifications. The business does ask that you have:
- MUST be UK based.
- Experience in working within a fast-paced MSP would be preferential.
- 5 years’ experience working in project management.
- Strong understanding of Networks and Infrastructure technologies across Cisco R&S, Firewalls, LAN and campus networks.
- Certified ideally in Prince 2.
- Confident in dealing with stakeholders, senior management, and a variety of customers.
- Ability to articulate both verbally and in writing.
