Job Title: MIS Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified MIS Manager to assist with leading the department. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the main purpose of the role will be to bring together all of the Groups Information systems and ensure that they are fit for purpose and deliver a service that serves all divisions operational and customer requirements to a high standard.
Self-driven, motivated, and with experience of leading a small team, you will manage multiple projects, the ‘norm’ of day-to-day and respond to sudden unforeseen events. Essentially you will also have the ability to establish strong working relationships, as you work in collaboration with our key stakeholders and operating divisions.
The role will consist of the following:
· Review and manage the groups Business Systems strategy, making proposals as required.
· Working with departmental operating line management to ensure that all system weaknesses and inefficiencies are correctly identified. All perceived weaknesses and inefficiencies must be robustly challenged.
· Propose deliverable solutions to address these weaknesses/inefficiencies that best meet the needs of both the customer and the system users.
· Working with the MIS team to ensure that the skillsets are in place to provide efficient and timely reporting tools to the operational management. This role incorporates data migration; data warehousing; interfacing to third party systems; management reporting and dashboards.
· Present to the Director of Operations a list of projects that will provide financial benefits to the group and then prioritise the projects that will provide cost benefit solutions.
· Manage the third party relationships with software suppliers.
· Working with the Head of IT to ensure that our systems are protected against cyber-attacks, ensuring that Firewalls; system security and anti-virus software is in place to ensure that “Cyber Essential Accreditation” will be awarded to all CTI businesses.
· Operate the MIS department within the operating and capital expenditure budgets.
· Provide technical support/assistance to the MIS team.
· Ensure staff are suitably trained in the up-to-date technology, ensuring that our systems are state of the art within the constraints of our financial resources.
· Establish KPI for the MIS department and provide monthly board reports.
Previous skills / experience required:
· Ability to run multiple complex projects
· Previous experience of working within a similar department
· Interpersonal and communication skills.
· Highly motivated with positive attitude.
· Flexible approach to work and good problem solver.
· Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
