GENERAL
Dynamic CPA Firm has openings for a full-time audit associate position. This is an amazing opportunity to begin building your career from the ground floor with limitless growth potential. This opportunity will have you working directly with clients, however, the candidate may be asked to assist on other types of engagements, as necessary. PRIMARY DUTIES
As an audit associate, you will work under direct supervision of partners, managers and seniors and be involved in performing tax, audit, review, compilation or accounting procedures, and other management consulting services. You may also be asked to assist with report preparation, or other office duties as required. Job assignments and responsibilities will become more complex as you grow in knowledge and experience. You will have frequent direct contact and interaction with client personnel at different levels. Audit associates are assigned to various engagements as needs are dictated by partners, managers, or senior accountants.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a degree in a related field with the requisite course work to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. Candidates are encouraged to pass the CPA exam within 3 years of employment. Course work or experience with government accounting is highly desirable.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, or an Emphasis in Accounting
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience with a CPA firm or performing accounting services
- California Driver's License
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- Highly self-motivated with superior organizational skills
- Proficient to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain complex accounting concepts in simple terms
- Desire to grow professionally
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
Successful candidates must have reliable transportation, as job sites may vary throughout the year. Some positions require some overnight travel, all within California.
Candidate must live in the Northern California area as frequent travel to clients within that region is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $31.25 to $35.75 per hour, plus overtime, to start with a $5,000 stipend if a CPA
