We are currently recruiting for an IT Security Analyst to join our friendly team in a flexible working environment; you will be based at one of the following locations: - Market Drayton, Manchester or East Kilbride. We are looking for an experienced individual to be responsible for implementing and performing procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the safety and security of IT systems and services.
You will perform security audits and take corrective actions to mitigate risks. Monitor and respond to critical application and system vulnerabilities to ensure information security efforts system-wide are properly coordinated and in compliance with reducing the overall security risk.
- Participate in incident and major incident management and assist in the investigation.
- Maintain a list of special administration access rights and exemptions to our applications and remote access capabilities.
- Work with Application and Technology teams to assess the risk and business impact of information Security technologies on existing and future technical implementations.
- Perform security audits and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Standardize tools and process by which employees, customers, contractors and suppliers access our systems.
- Assist in driving efficient and effective audits and provide IT Management direction as to how to remedy pertinent action items.
- Ensure compliance with any applicable information security standards and regulations.
- Interface regularly with various levels of the IT organisation as well as the internal and external auditors to ensure timely test execution and issue resolution.
- Responsibilities and duties may change due to operational needs.
- Work with functional information security teams through the daily management of information security tasks, including identity management, vulnerability management, change management, reporting and audit facilitation.
- Experience/knowledge with network security concepts such as Firewalls, IPS, VPN, Advanced Threat Protection and network segmentation.
- Experience collaborating with auditors.
- Strong ability to develop ad-hoc reports.
- Experience in the analysis, development and implementation of policies, processes and controls.
- Technical college degree would be beneficial.
- Written/spoken German would be an advantage.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Confident engaging with different levels of stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong security mindset.
- Participate in the Oncall team rota.
