The Opportunity: Information Security Analyst (Internally known as IT Security Analyst)

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be monitoring IT systems, updating and reporting IPS KPI’s, collaborating across depts and wider HCA / HealthTrust companies to ensure enterprise IPS goals and company priorities are met. You will also be monitoring and reporting back to the IT department, and to those who support the IPS objectives and activities at HealthTrust Europe, with around 70% of the role focused on primary security related activities, with the remaining time supporting the IT service desk, operations and projects as required.

As an Information Security Analyst you will:
IT Security
- Perform daily cyber security monitoring tasks on all HTE systems including Catalog360.
- Support and coordinate incident response activities involving the facility.
- Monitor for current and research new threats, identify vulnerabilities and recording/presenting findings in a structure risk assessment framework.
- Contribute to IPS programs and projects, IT & non-IT, performing host reviews and security audits.
- Ensure SIEM (Security information and event management) data is kept upto date.
- Translate cyber security issues into straightforward, credible advice for clients .
- Perform security access and architecture reviews of new and existing platforms, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained.
- Deploy and maintain the department’s internal security systems.
- In conjunction with the HTE IT and IPS depts, address IPS issues identified by HTE, by the division, by corporate groups including Internal Audit or the IPS Department, and by outside entities including auditors (e.g., ISO, HCA or ICO Security audits).
- Provide technical support, guidance and training to users and application administrators across all functions to ensure they are working in a compliant manner to IPS policies.
- Provide facility-level reporting to the HTE DISA to identify and act on facility-specific IPS issues.
IT
- Support IT team activities as directed by the IT Manager.
- Using the HTE case management system, the role holder will prioritise daily activity to ensure incidents and requests are resolved and managed in an efficient way.
Projects
- Support on projects as directed by the IT Manager and Provide security knowledge input to IT projects.
- Collaborates on projects with other functions by gathering essential requirements and making suggestions for best practice and innovative solutions as part of the project team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in IT Support related role and experience in IT security;
- Strong in management of Office 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft Defender and in IT security, including anti-virus and web security.
- Experience in management and securing Azure and AWS.
- Strong in endpoint management and endpoint security.
- A solid understanding of Network Switches, Routers and Firewalls
- Experience of Powershell, KQL and similar programming languages
- Strong in service desk management processes
- Excellent Customer Service
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and present to senior audiences
- Problem solving and ability to produce creative solutions
- A keen interest in security and strong desire to learn new technologies
