South Staffordshire College is looking to employ an experienced and enthusiastic Director of IT to lead the College’s IT Department and to lead on College-wide IT Strategy. The role will require strong experience in network infrastructure and in particular a good knowledge of cyber security controls. It will also required a good understanding of customer service and how IT as a function can support quality and standards across the College, particularly in teaching and learning, which is the primary function of the College.
As the College expert in IT, you will manage a team of Infrastructure Engineers and IT Technicians. You will also sit on the College Leadership Team which covers senior managers from all parts of the College. The College has a desire to continue the evolution of IT technology in its activities, and you will work closely with the Head of Digital Learning to support IT technology in teaching and learning. The role will also develop corporate objectives and manage the technology risks inherent in all organisation's . The College recently achieved the ISO27001 kitemark and would like to maintain and develop this standard.
The role will also have wider responsibility for the College’s reprographics and photocopying services. The role will report directly to the Deputy Principal Finance & Resources.
