About the role and our team

Join our team as an Information Governance Officer within Social Security!

Within this role, you will help implement Isle of Man Government information policies to the business strategy and develop procedures to support these policies in line with legal requirements.

You will develop, deliver and monitor information governance training for staff and implement clear and robust information, data handling standards/procedures, raise awareness of information governance responsibilities and promote best practice.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the production and delivery of a Records Management Plan
  • Undertaking a review and restructure of the Division’s paper-based and electronic filing systems
  • Providing coaching to staff and promoting the benefits of sound information governance and compliance
  • Managing the migration of data from historical systems and ensure that record retention periods are adhered to

This is a great opportunity for a proactive and organised individual, with a track record in records and information management, to join our supportive team as we transform the ways in which we deliver our services. The next 2 to 3 years will be a very exciting time for those involved.
