Job description
EDUCATION SERVICE MANAGER- LEARN YOUR WAY
35 hours per week (52 weeks per year)
£36,750 per annum
Permanent
Based in our education provision in either Penzance or Truro
Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) is a well-established Cornish charity providing a range of services across the county supporting people and communities in need.
We are looking for a qualified educational professional to lead and develop an effective and inclusive educational provision for students aged 16 to 24 who have an Educational Health Care Plan. The charity is based at our site in Redruth with the expectation of regular working out of our Penzance and Truro education provision.
You will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for the development of the education provision by seeking new opportunities and funding that will continue to build upon the high-quality standards already being achieved. You will be responsible for effectively leading, managing and inspiring all staff within the educational division, currently in Penzance and Truro, ensuring that all young people achieve their full potential in an inclusive, safe environment in accordance with the charity, local and statutory policies and guidance.
The successful candidate will develop close relationships with relevant statutory bodies to identify opportunities aligned to the growth aspirations of the charity and in meeting the needs of commissioners.
You will also work as a member of the charity’s Leadership Team in supporting the Chief Executive and colleagues in the delivery of a new strategy alongside leading the accountability for the education provision, budget management and financial performance supported by the charity’s Finance Manager.
We actively support diversity in the workplace and encourage everyone who meets our criteria to apply.
This is an exciting new role which looks to build on the success of the Learn Your Way and Work Your Way programmes. We are not a standard education provision but look to support the whole individual through a range of experiences which support the young person to grow and develop in their own way. You will be working with an exceptional team of staff and young people in a community engagement thinking service whilst contributing to the develop of a key Cornish Charity.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, for which the organisation pays.
