As Buyer you will drive category sales and profit in line with operating plan budgets, driving market share performance. Future proofing sourcing at M&S developing a procurement plan that is fit for purpose delivering fantastic quality whilst working as part of a cross functional team of experts driving category sales & profit growing our market share.
Drawing on your experience you will be able to effectivity set range strategies to optimise selling format and product choice, understanding space requirements with effective promotional and marketing plan in line with M&S's overall Food Group plan.
You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our suppliers through effective commercial management; negotiations’, tendering processes, building joint business plans and continuously driving improvements with our supply base.
Apply if you have;
- Commercial experience within the food industry, with real passion for food.
- A proven track record of being able to analyse and interpret market and customer data to inform commercial decisions
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), able to communicate effectively to influence and articulate complex technical information to regional and present briefs confidently
- Strong Microsoft skills - Word / PowerPoint / Excel etc.
